i started to write something about the differentiation of view and the duality of perspective, but quickly realised that it was obviously pretentious, potentially self justifying and certainly trite (so i will save it for another time).

security level zero
by installing cctv, are we creating a legitimate deterant or just accepting that nothing and nobody can be trusted?
are we defined by 'what' we do, or by 'why' we do it?

four days in autumn
i am sulking over the death of the camera on my pda/phone/thingymajig. i feel powerless somehow.
there are other options, it isn't the end of the world - i do have many cameras, but the convenience of having a semi-decent camera on a thingymajig that i carry habitually everywhere is...well, very convenient.
perhaps it is the universe's way of telling me to get back to sketching again, and maybe i'll listen to that...
pfft and bugger.

so many landscapes, so little time, so i took a photo whilst having a ciggy.
45 minutes down the line...
So, yes, my mission profile has changed somewhat and adjustments are in motion.
After a rather stressful and cash free four week break between jobs, i now work somewhere other than the place i worked before. I'm not really sure how much i'm allowed to say about the job i'm doing now and where exactly it is, or indeed whether it is wise to say anything at all, so i will keep the references to a minimum. I'm sure you wouldn't find it that interesting anyway, it's just a job (which feels like it could have been created just for me) - the important things are;
I'm enjoying it, it ticks my creative boxes, keeps me busy whilst giving me the time to focus on my own work and fulfills certain StarTrektic fantasies i have had over the years (a non-combative commission aboard the USS Enterprise, boldly going along for the ride...). I've met some very cool, fun people and am still being initiated into the community which surrounds the job.
It is all very exciting and new.
