Everchanging scenery (reloaded)
All change! Whether it’s your home, your job, your partner or just your underwear... it’s time for a change. Shake things up a little by looking carefully at your options. Disturb the waters, don’t allow life to stagnate.
i read this on the train this morning, 2 hours later i was being told that my application for the job had been unsuccessful.
disappointed about that really. would've been good to have a job that would see me through the next couple of years.
but hey ho hum. can't let things stagnate apparently.
the other areas mentioned;
home= good & great (although the bin needs taking out and the washing up needs doing)
partner=brilliant & awesome (gonna marry her i think)
underwear= tight and superhero themed.
mind the gap.
please be careful when opening the door, your work colleagues may be walking behind it.

Paris for the stag do then?
Its quite amazing. I've fallen for TankGirl. Absolutely and totally.
She seems to quite like me too.

In the words of the late, great Douglas Adams...
Anything that, in happening, causes something else to happen, causes something else to happen.
Anything that, in happening, causes itself to happen again, happens again.
It doesn't necessarily do it in chronological order, though.

the first version of the one above was a whole 90 seconds long and featured the intro to Infected by The The as a soundtrack. But it was too big to upload by pda phonecam thingymajig. so you get a lo-fat prototype version. Gonna try some portraiture with this format next week. TankGirl has volunteered. standby.
Moo is poorly sick again and off school as i type so that means the weekend will be a slobbing/painting/cutting/pasting /glueing experience with dvds galore with my favourite person. we did have plans to go through to harrogate to see people n do things (Minister...it will happen one day), but probably not wise with her being all snotty/coughy... but after the activity of the last few weeks, i'm really looking forward to some quality time with her.
she's the love of my life... did i tell you that?
that is all for now. move along move along...

To wipe away the tracks?

Ittiz haunt reclaim.

I'm switching to comments you've made...
So...
"sing me a love song, drop ME a line.
suppose its just a point of view,
but they tell me i'm doing fine."
Hmm.
I've nicked that from Robbie Williams. It seems appropriate and...er...relevant (or is that derelevant) at this time to listen to that song (no regrets), and selectively use lines for the purpose of blogging.
Gosh, i'm so self-absorbed, self centred and selfish...*
;)
Bloody brilliant weekend in the company of some of my favourite people, rounded off with (but not necessarily because of) two days off work poorly sick with an energy draining and crappy man-cold. Really can't afford to be taking time off sick, temping doesn't pay sick leave. But the peace and quiet of Chambers these last two days has given me the opportunity to take stock, take notes, debrief myself on the status of The Long Game and play with some new (to me) software.
Flickr(loves you)'s new video feature has had me playing around with a format i've never been bothered with before now, but Flickr(loves you) does encourage it to be played with as moving stills photography. Which is cool as time based images is exactly what i've been trying to do with my photography (mostly) all this time anyway.
Moving ±momentography is the aim here, moving video frames in the montage format. Still in a prototype stage, but I'm sure i'm gonna have some fun with it...I have attempted to attach the file to this email, I doubt that my pda thingymajig will allow it, but if not, it can be found over on the www.flickr.com/photos/epac_island Page. Its called "selected view from epac_island video in video"
Inspired by the self directed distractions of the last couple of weeks, the empty spaces on the walls of Chambers and (let's be honest) the crazy self protective insecurities going on in my head over certain new relationships (ah. Shh TankGirl. Shh now!), I've started a pair of paintings too, the first in a year, both canvasses are 29 inches square (VT, let me know if that is an okay size for you?), with the working title of;
" The Fall and Rise of The SunDial Kid"...
Make of all that what you will.
Right then. Mind the gap etc. Kind regards,
daren
*apparently.

flickr (loves you) has gone all bloody technical and youtube silly with a new video option. it'll be full of uploaded phonecam vids of pets falling off sofa's and students happy slapping OAPs.
this is my contribution to the end of the world. i'm gonna do more too.
i may need flash to the thing i really want to do...
oh and thats two days in a row i have managed to get TankGirl to college.
brilliant.

The scatter cushion approach.
1 cushion)
I was recently advised, twice, that I should write a letter with regards to a personal matter. To whom and about what isn't necessarily relevant here. The first time it was suggested, I dismissed it out of hand, what's the point? I asked myself, I have nothing to say particularly, certainly nothing that the recipitant would want to hear.
The second time it was suggested, a couple of months later, I asked myself the same question and found that the answer wasn't necessarily the same as before, and if two close confidentes had suggested the same thing, then maybe they were right.
I began to write the letter.
23 hand written pages later, I realised I had too much to say. It had turned into a novella or something equally silly. It now resides in the botom of a bin bag on a landfill somewhere.*
2 cushions)
TankGirl. She's 22, which is way too young for me and gayer than I am but she has the sweetest tattoo in the small of her back, kinda shares my perspective on the world and has proved herself to be 'on the team' in various ways.
Its been over a week now that we've been 'seeing' each other, she's already told her mum about me in some detail and has referred to me as her boyfriend to some other lad. Alarm bells ring somewhere in the distance, maybe, but they are drowned out by something I have not heard before..
3 cushions)
Someone sat down opposite me in a pub the other day. He told me I was being evicted from Chambers. Someone had read it on my blog and told him. Being all loved up at the time, I smiled and told him I knew already. Its my Chambers and my blog.
*Any similarity to actual people or actual events or actual letters is purely coincimental.

Drip feed. Or. another wee poem I did write.
Unsung and goodly deeds.
Humiliation is the pity tip,
Ooh, my bitten lip bleeds.
That new resolution, to drink more,
(The hat I'm wearing now),
Has made me an insatiable bore.
My drunk is drink'd. What's now?
An addiction? A powder line show?
This TankGirl on my dish?
Hmm. You don't know what he thinks i know.
Could I really be that selfish..?
To my friends i'll be honest and true,
Bless'em. They've seen me right.
Bruno's clan, Ed's, some others and Boo,
Good morning and/or good night.
:)
