So... last night, having moved the old telly that was taking up space in the hall into my nest and connected it to the xbox, I set about snugging myself down to watch and fall asleep to star wars II.
At 2345hrs, my clever pda phone cam thingymajig beeped to remind me it was quarter to spring o'clock. Brilliant! Winter is done with, good riddance to it. Happy easterspring o'clock, I guess... it's nearly the return of BST too, only a week or so until some of the clocks and watches in Chambers are right again. The oversized clock that hangs on my nest wall claims it is two and a half minutes past 2, it is apparently right twice a day, but I have never observed it to be correct so I can't be sure.
Have a banana.
Saturday
Moo and I walked to the shopping park just out of town to buy swimming cozzies. She got a sweet three piece bikini thing. I got the standard long boxer shorts type. My belly blubber is a little too max'd to get away with the midi speedos now.
Then on to swimming. Then the eating of chips with salt n vinegar. Then home.
In the evening Eddie and Jimmytofu came over for chatting and tellybox. Eddie now has the coolest StormTrooper Helmet. He kept stating that he was polishing his helmet. It was funny. We kept jimmytofu up beyond his bed time.
Sunday
First thing, I drew the curtains back to see that it had snowed. Moo and I shared chocolate in my nest and she again told me how sad she thought it was that her mum had told her that the Easter Bunny isn't real, whilst we gave tofu a chance to surface in the living room. I told moo the easter bunny is as real as you want it to be. Merrily merrily, life is but a dream, afterall. I think she kinda understood. She wasn't happy though, its cold when the bubble bursts and the light is too grey to see the fun.
Did well to get up and dressed in time for dragondrop's arrival first thing. It was Easter Sunday. And that meant Anima Mundi's Newby Hall Funday. Tofu, Moo and I followed in convoy and as we turned left at the llama we were all quite excited to be there in the arts marquee. It was then, as Moo dissapeared for the day with Owen (...) and I was left looking at the unused display stand in the corner, that I realised i'd actually left my paintings and fortpolio back at Chambers. 'Idiot' is what I was (quite rightly) called.
The Minister (voice of the robot pirate) & I did a Rapid Response Team in his his Jeep and all was well. Good man.
For further news from newby hall, check out www.dragonDrop.org, the teleprojer MK1 was brilliant and a good time was had by all...
Monday
Moo was in a funny and stubborn place. She made it quite clear she wasn't in the mood for a return visit to Newby. Every question was answered with a shrug and a look of eternal disappointment on her face. No idea what i'd done wrong. And no amount of calm questions was gonna get her to tell me. Eventually Moo agreed to return to Newby Hall for day2 as B & Tü were going to come along for a bit with us. She didn't say it, but I actually got the feeling that it was because Owen wasn't going to be there (..!..).
I took my leather pocket utility belt out for a field test. It worked even with the English Country Gentleman/Public School OldBoy Look I was going for... I just need to sort out exactly what mission profile the belt is suited for...
Moo went for tea with B & Tü whilst we packed things away. Newby Hall is a brilliant place. To have it to ourselves makes it all the better, even if it was for only an hour or two.
Tuesday
Back to the mind numbing job. The w/e has taught me a couple of things. Firstly, I really should get more involved with Anima Mundi and Shed (The), secondly, I should have a ready, stat, standby box of printed and framed stuff for art markets. If I wasn't such a financial cripple, i'd happily do the art market thing full time. Thirdly, seeing my paintings out in the wild, I realised I actually quite like them. As a rule I generally hate everything i've done, it's possibly why I don't bother trying to display/flog them (that and I am terminally lazy) and get so uncomfortable trying to explain the what's and why's of them. But that is changing I think and with the paintings now in storage at Newby and not filling wall space in Chambers, i'm itching to do some more. New stuff. May even get around to the painting I still owe DragonDrop (not today though).
Wednesday.
Got dressed with a frown and headed for the bus via the hole-in-the-wall bank. Denied money. Crap, no bus fair. Mulled my options for a few minutes. Returned to chambers, rang temp agency and left Standard Migrane Message on their answer phone. They rang back an hour later, hoping I was feeling better and offering me another job, this one local and with more money. Starts monday.
I've won one. Yay!
This temp thing could work out to my advantage really. As long as I don't care what the job i'm doing is... Hmm.
I notice that the oversized clock that hangs on my nest wall claims it is two and a half minutes past 2, it is apparently right twice a day, but I have still never observed it to be correct so I can't be sure.
Well done everybody.
Mind the gap.

Fate sometimes smiles. Just remember to smile back.
Good news about the new temp gig.
Toodle-pip.
Good skills on the job D.
Do you have your unsold paintings available for view anywhere i.e. Flickr - I may be interested in investing!
So does even a stopped clock not give the right time twice a day? Withnail was a fibber!
Take care and keep chipper.
