So...
"sing me a love song, drop ME a line.
suppose its just a point of view,
but they tell me i'm doing fine."
Hmm.
I've nicked that from Robbie Williams. It seems appropriate and...er...relevant (or is that derelevant) at this time to listen to that song (no regrets), and selectively use lines for the purpose of blogging.
Gosh, i'm so self-absorbed, self centred and selfish...*
;)
Bloody brilliant weekend in the company of some of my favourite people, rounded off with (but not necessarily because of) two days off work poorly sick with an energy draining and crappy man-cold. Really can't afford to be taking time off sick, temping doesn't pay sick leave. But the peace and quiet of Chambers these last two days has given me the opportunity to take stock, take notes, debrief myself on the status of The Long Game and play with some new (to me) software.
Flickr(loves you)'s new video feature has had me playing around with a format i've never been bothered with before now, but Flickr(loves you) does encourage it to be played with as moving stills photography. Which is cool as time based images is exactly what i've been trying to do with my photography (mostly) all this time anyway.
Moving ±momentography is the aim here, moving video frames in the montage format. Still in a prototype stage, but I'm sure i'm gonna have some fun with it...I have attempted to attach the file to this email, I doubt that my pda thingymajig will allow it, but if not, it can be found over on the www.flickr.com/photos/epac_island Page. Its called "selected view from epac_island video in video"
Inspired by the self directed distractions of the last couple of weeks, the empty spaces on the walls of Chambers and (let's be honest) the crazy self protective insecurities going on in my head over certain new relationships (ah. Shh TankGirl. Shh now!), I've started a pair of paintings too, the first in a year, both canvasses are 29 inches square (VT, let me know if that is an okay size for you?), with the working title of;
" The Fall and Rise of The SunDial Kid"...
Make of all that what you will.
Right then. Mind the gap etc. Kind regards,
daren
*apparently.
